FOR TEACHERS OF FAMILY MEDICINE (STFM)
STFM is dedicated to improving the health of all people through
education, research, patient care, and advocacy. The aim of STFM
is to be a community of educators, researchers, and clinicians leading
change that measurably improves the health of all people.
Strategic goals of STFM
- Faculty Development - to provide premier academic development
of faculty appropriate to their level of experience and individual
roles
- Celebrate Diversity, Eliminate Disparity - to advocate for social
justice to improve health care for all people
- Quality Improvement - to improve the quality of care provided
by family physicians through education and research
- Role of the Family Physician - to lead the process to define
the most effective roles and responsibilities of family physicians
in the evolving health care system
- Information Technology - to explore, incorporate, and teach
advances in information technology appropriate for family medicine
