FDI Workshops
The Faculty Development Institute (FDI)
evaluates the needs of the PAEA membership on
an annual basis. Data collected from workshop
evaluations, faculty and staff needs
assessments, membership feedback and Board
recommendations assist FDI in determining
workshop topics. FDI strives to offer workshops
that meet the needs of a variety of members,
from the most junior to the more experienced
faculty member.
FDI may develop new or reinstate previously presented workshops based on the needs of the membership. In addition, FDI may periodically solicit workshop proposals from the membership on an as-needed basis and as time, space and budget permit.

Workshops
These popular workshops
are offered on an annual and/or semi-annual
basis and focus on the key areas of
scholarship, clinical education, leadership and
foundational skills (e.g. Basic Skills Faculty
Development Workshop and Clinical Coordinators
Workshop). These are scheduled to
coincide with the PAEA Annual Education Forum
as an “add-on” workshop, but may also be
offered at other times during the year in
various regional
locations.
