Call for Proposals
PAEA is seeking proposals and presenters for all sessions to be offered during its 2014 Annual Education Forum in Philadelphia. Presenting at this meeting is a wonderful opportunity for faculty interested in scholarly activity. By facilitating critical discussions and imparting leading edge, high impact, dynamic andragogical and program-relevant content to physician assistant (PA) program personnel, PAEA is hoping to meet the needs of its membership like never before.
You are limited to a total of
three presentations, being the lead on up to
two, not including research briefs and
posters. The scheduling process will
not be edited for the secondary
Please carefully read all the information below as well as review the criteria, guidelines, and format descriptions before submitting your proposal. Helpful resources — including frequently asked questions, archived webinars, and upcoming proposal submission conference calls — are included.
- Teaching and learning strategies
- Curriculum design and evaluation
- Research on PA education and the profession
- Management and leadership
- Student issues
- Educational technology
- Academic law or legal issues
- Health care issues and other topics of general interest and practical use to the PA profession
- Professional competencies
- The role of the PA
- The delivery of health care in connection with PAs
- Interprofessional education
- Diversity in the PA profession
Per the submission guidelines, only one presentation format may be chosen for each topic submitted. Multiple format submissions for the same or similar topics will not be accepted.
The deadline to submit a proposal is Monday, June 2, 2014, 3:00 p.m. EDT.

PROPOSE: Proposals Review: Options for Presentation Submission to the Education Forum
In order to increase opportunities for PA educators to engage in dialogue about the proposal submission process for the Annual Education Forum, the Conference Council is holding open conference call conversations. PAEA members who wish to ask questions or engage in general dialogue about the process, their ideas for a submission, or other topics are invited to participate. The calls last approximately one hour.
- Wednesday, April 23; 12:00 p.m., EDT
- Thursday, May 8, 3:00 p.m., EDT
An email notification will automatically be sent upon completion of your submission. If you do not receive an email notification, please contact Sheryl Vermont to confirm your submission is complete.
The PAEA Conference Council will review all proposals in a blinded process; acceptance and non-acceptance notifications will be sent in early August. Communications regarding proposal submissions will be sent to the main contact only.PAEA does not grant honoraria to presenters of educational sessions.
