Training:
- What is the impact of an interdisciplinary or interprofessional approach to teaching health care team dynamics to PA students? Specifically, are there improvements in patient safety and/or quality of care outcomes? (Experimental)
- What impact does offering international rotations have on PA program applicants’ choices of PA programs? (Experimental, overlaps with admissions area)
- Evaluate novel strategies for preceptor recruitment and development.
- Identify the characteristics of successful preceptors and successful relationships between PA programs and preceptors.
- Correlate PA faculty satisfaction and retention with factors such as salary, role flexibility, faculty/staff ratios, faculty/student ratios, program size, program organizational culture, career advancement requirements and opportunities, etc.
- Evaluate trends in PA faculty salary and benefits.
- Identify attributes that define successful PA faculty.
- Describe the spectrum of academic career paths (academic tracks, tenure, etc.) across PA programs.
- Define and compare the faculty workload across PA programs.
- Describe variability in the responsibilities assigned to faculty roles (including academic coordinator, clinical coordinator, program director, etc.) across programs.
