PROGRAM DIRECTOR
University of Colorado Child Health Associate/PA Program
(Program Director — Assistant to Full Professor)

The Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program (CHA/PA Program) invites applications for program director with a full-time faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics. Appointment will be at a level appropriate to the experience of the applicant.

This three-year academic program has an outstanding reputation including award-winning curricula in problem-based learning, disabilities, and EBM. Duties will include being responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review and analysis, planning, and ongoing development of the program. The director will supervise faculty and staff and participate in small-group teaching, clinical precepting, evaluation of student progress, and other duties within the CHA/PA Program. The director represents the program as a section head within the Department of Pediatrics and reports directly to the chair.

This position requires either:

  • NCCPA certification and three years of clinical experience (a doctoral degree in a relevant area is preferred) or
  • An MD/DO degree with board certification in pediatrics

Additional requirements include experience in clinical care and teaching, along with excellent communication skills and basic computer skills. A record of scholarly work is preferred.

The College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University invites applications for the administrative position of director of the physician assistant program — Downers Grove campus. PROGRAM DIRECTOR
University of Wisconsin LaCrosse

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse–Gundersen Lutheran–Mayo (UW-L) Physician Assistant Program is seeking a dynamic assistant/associate professor (tenure-track) or assistant/associate clinical professor (non-tenure-track), based on credentials, to lead a multi-faceted, collaborative PA program faculty. This is a 9-month position in an established program that enjoys a history of small class sizes and 100% PANCE pass rates, with scores consistently in the top 10 percent nationally. The physician assistant master’s degree program consists of four core faculty members, with instruction also delivered and supplemented by local and regional experts from the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center and The Mayo Foundation.

The PA program is part of the UW-L Department of Health Professions. All programs in the Department of Health Professions, College of Science and Allied Health (SAH), are fully accredited. The Department of Health Professions is located in a $27 million state-of-the-art health science center, which also houses six associate health professional programs. The health science center was built by the La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium, a collaborative entity of five La Crosse organizations: UW-L, Viterbo University, Western Wisconsin Technical College, Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, and Franciscan Skemp Health Care–Mayo Health System.

UW-L, founded in 1909, is one of 13 four-year campuses in the University of Wisconsin system. It offers approximately 80 majors, minors, and special programs for undergraduates in business, education, the sciences, the arts, health science, recreation, physical education, and liberal studies. Twenty-one graduate programs are available. About 9,300 students attend classes on the compact, 119-acre campus.

ACADEMIC AND CLINICAL COORDINATORS

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Physician Assistant Program invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member to teach physician assistant students physical examinations, history taking, clinical applications, and clinical problem solving. The PA program is one of 11 allied health degree programs in the College of Health Professions. The program offers an entry-level master’s degree in physician assistant studies over a 27-month curriculum. The College of Health Professions is dedicated to promoting excellence in education, research, and patient care in order to respond to the health and wellness needs of the state of South Carolina and beyond. The college is now housed in the recently renovated Health Professions Complex, a beautiful dual building complex, originally a mid-century high school now inspiring a new generation of students. It is an exciting, powerful, state-of-the-art facility for an exciting, powerful, state-of-the-art college.

Applicants must be physician assistants with a master’s or doctorate degree, licensed or qualified for licensure in South Carolina.

Jefferson College of Health Sciences, Virginia

The Jefferson College of Health Sciences has an immediate full-time faculty position available for a clinical coordinator/assistant professor. A master’s degree is required; a doctorate (currently enrolled, willingness to enroll) is preferred. This position is supported with a full-time clinical resource associate. Two years’ clinical experience is required and previous teaching experience preferred. NCCPA-certified PA required. Must be eligible for licensure to practice as a PA in Virginia.
