PROGRAM DIRECTOR
University of Colorado Child Health Associate/PA Program
(Program Director — Assistant to Full Professor)

The Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program (CHA/PA Program) invites applications for program director with a full-time faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics. Appointment will be at a level appropriate to the experience of the applicant.

This three-year academic program has an outstanding reputation including award-winning curricula in problem-based learning, disabilities, and EBM. Duties will include being responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review and analysis, planning, and ongoing development of the program. The director will supervise faculty and staff and participate in small-group teaching, clinical precepting, evaluation of student progress, and other duties within the CHA/PA Program. The director represents the program as a section head within the Department of Pediatrics and reports directly to the chair.

This position requires either:

  • NCCPA certification and three years of clinical experience. A doctoral degree in a relevant area is preferred.
  • An MD/DO degree with board certification in pediatrics.

Additional requirements include experience in clinical care and teaching, along with excellent communication skills and basic computer skills. A record of scholarly work is preferred.

The College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University invites applications for the administrative position of director of the physician assistant program — Downers Grove campus. The successful candidate must be a physician assistant or a physician. ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
York College, New York

York College PA Program is seeking candidates for the position of associate director. This is a 12-month renewable, non-tenure track position that involves annual re-appointment at an assistant/associate professor rank, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

York College is part of the City University of New York and is located in a diverse, residential neighborhood in Queens. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our dedicated faculty in maintaining a congenial and supportive environment.

The associate director will work directly with the program director in providing leadership and effective administration of the program. This includes oversight of the academic and clinical functions of the program, programs review, and service on program committees. This role also includes involvement in admission, retention and recruitment, and various responsibilities as delegated by the program director. Other functions include service on college-wide committees and classroom teaching.

Requirements: Completion of an accredited PA program and a master’s degree. NCCPA accreditation and New York licensure are required. Three years’ experience in PA education and two years’ clinical experience are preferred.

Physicians with knowledge of PA education will be considered. An earned doctorate in a health related field is preferred.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/FACULTY
Kettering College of Medical Arts, Ohio

Kettering College of Medical Arts (KCMA) is seeking applications for an associate director/faculty member for the physician assistant department. Kettering’s PA program began in 1975, offering an associate degree. We are excited to announce the transition to a master’s degree program beginning with the summer 2006 entering class.

Located in serene Kettering, Ohio, KCMA is a faith-based institution offering health science degrees and certificates in nursing, medical sonography, radiology, and respiratory care. The college is in the completion stages of a new building, which offers state-of-the-art labs, classrooms, and library facilities. KCMA has a generous five-week summer semester break.
