PAEA Adds New Staff Member
Heitzman, a 2007 graduate from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in applied statistics. She was a research assistant during her junior year at the university and in this capacity managed psychology studies. While in college, she also secured an internship in the office of Congressman Joseph Knollenberg in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Her responsibilities included screening communications from district constituents, handling issues addressed to the representative, and compiling response letters for his signature. Heitzman lived in Tokyo, Japan, for two years and has traveled extensively throughout Africa, China, and Australia. She is proficient in Spanish and has performed community service in such organizations as the Detroit Blight Busters, the Lighthouse of Pontiac, and the Cranbrook Institute of Science.
