Interprofessional Institute Open to PAs

The Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) has informed PAEA about an opportunity open to PAs to develop an interprofessional team and apply to an APTR-sponsored event. The call for applications, due by June 1, outlines the application procedure and provides a description of the Institute for Interprofessional Prevention Education that will be convened on September 6th and 7th for the selected teams.

Help PAEA Publicize Your Master's Completion Programs

If your institution offers a master's completion program for practicing PAs, please let PAEA know. We will update our current records and post information on the PAEA Web site for PAs wishing to further their education. Send details to Eileen Evans at eevans@paeaonline.org.

Information in the following categories is being collected:

  • Program name and state
  • Name of contact person (to provide additional details about the program, along with his or her phone number and e-mail address)
  • Degree conferred
  • Whether the program is campus-based or is offered by distance learning
  • Entrance requirements for entrance
  • Specialty tracks available (links to additional information on your Web site describing tracks are helpful)

APPAP Announces Linda Brandt Research Award

The Association of Postgraduate Physician Assistant Programs (APPAP) has announced a research award for research on PA postgraduate training programs. The application deadline is September 30. The award is named in honor of Linda Brandt, one of the founding members of APPAP, who died in 2004. Please see the eligibility and submission guidelines.
