PAEA Dues Frozen for New
Membership Year
The PAEA Board of Directors has approved a one-year freeze on membership dues. Program dues for the 2006-2007 membership year (July 1 to June 30) will therefore remain at $2,875. For the past several years, dues have increased an average of four percent each year, in accordance with a motion passed by the PAEA membership in 2001 that was designed to make increases more regular and predictable. In the Association’s earlier years, dues increases were less frequent but larger when they did happen.
At its meeting in March, the PAEA Finance Committee determined that the Association’s strong financial position warranted the freeze.
“Even with the one-time transition costs that we have incurred this year, we are in excellent financial health,” said Secretary/Treasurer Dana Sayre-Stanhope. “We felt that holding dues down was a small way to offer some relief to our member programs and to share with them the Association’s good fortune.”
Dues invoices were sent out to all programs in early May.
