PAEA Seeks Commissioner for ARC-PAPAEA invites PA educators with experience in accreditation issues to submit applications for a position as one of the Association’s three commissioners on the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). The new representative will succeed Suzanne York, whose second term expires in December, and will join Gloria Stewart from the Marietta College PA Program in Ohio and James Hammond from James Madison University PA Program in Virginia. The new commissioner will be selected by the ARC-PA from the slate of candidates submitted by PAEA. ARC-PA commissioners are selected for an initial three-year term with eligibility for a second consecutive three-year term. More detailed information on the responsibilities entailed in this position is available here. The term is effective January 1, 2008, and concludes on December 31, 2010. The first meeting will be March 6-8, 2008, in Atlanta, Georgia. New commissioners are expected to attend an orientation late Thursday afternoon on March 6.
