In MemoriamDiane Robinson, an administrative assistant at the University of Utah PA Program for more than 20 years, passed away on February 19 at the age of 54. Robinson was diagnosed with lymphoma and leukemia in 2000 but had been in reasonably good health since undergoing a successful bone marrow transplant several years ago. PA educators who knew Robinson will no doubt remember her vibrant personality and unique presence. A message to Utah PAs from the Utah PA program described her as follows: “She was certainly a legend at UPAP, having served our students many years with her unique sense of humor, British spunk, and incredible heart. She fostered diversity at the program and encouraged many applicants who may not have considered becoming a PA that it was a possibility — and for many, this came to fruition with her mentoring. Diane's daughter, Lakissha Robinson Taylor, hosted a celebration of her mother's life on Saturday, February 23, which was attended by a broad cross section of individuals with many stories and remembrances of Diane and her approach to life. She was an incredible woman with an indomitable spirit who gave of herself to so many.” A memorial fund has been established to defray funeral expenses and to start a student scholarship fund in Diane Robinson’s name.
