PAEA Seeks Liaison to the Global Health Education Consortium

PAEA is seeking an individual to serve as liaison to the Global Health Education Consortium (GHEC). GHEC is a consortium of faculty and health care educators dedicated to global health education in health professions schools and residency programs. GHEC's members are active in more than 70 health professions schools and training programs in the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean.

The liaison will attend the GHEC Annual Spring Conference in Seattle, Washington, April 3-5, and will be funded for registration, travel, food, and lodging. Please visit the conference Web site for more detailed information.

The term for this position is two years, from February 1, 2009, to January 31, 2010, with the possibility of reappointment once, based on the recommendation of the PAEA president in consultation with other board members. Preference will be given to individuals who are familiar with international and global issues important to the PA profession. The liaison will submit a report to the board following the conference.
