PAEA Student Writing Competition Under Way Until February 15
Faculty are urged to inform their students of the Student Writing Competition, particularly those who may be on rotation. Entries may be submitted through February 15 and all guidelines and documents are available at http://www.paeaonline.org.
HRSA Seeks Reviewers for Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry Grant Program
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is seeking grant reviewers for the following Title VII grant program areas:
- Academic administrative units in primary care
- Predoctoral training in primary care
- Residency training in primary care
- Faculty development in primary care
- Residency training in general and pediatric dentistry
- A training in primary care
Grant reviewers help HRSA select the best programs from competitive groups of applicants. Reviewers are chosen for specific grant programs, based on their knowledge, education, and experience. Grant review panels are selected to reflect diversity of ethnicity, gender, experience, and geography. Complete information may be found at https://grants.hrsa.gov/webReview.
Important Change to JAAPA Distribution
On January 1, AAPA's clinical journal JAAPA became an exclusive benefit for student members. PA students who are not members of AAPA will no longer receive this publication on a monthly basis. Any student who would like to continue to receive this valuable resource is encouraged to join AAPA. Membership is a one-time fee of $75 and expires four months after graduation. PA Foundation Announces Breitman-Dorn Research Fellowship
The Physician Assistant Foundation is announcing the Breitman-Dorn Endowed Research Fellowship. The endowment encourages a commitment to research in and on the PA profession. Financial assistance is provided to doctoral candidates who are making a contribution to research on the influence of PAs in medical care. The deadline is April 15.
