International Affairs Committee Seeks Chair

PAEA is seeking a chair for its International Affairs Committee (IAC), whose mission is to provide expertise regarding PA education to international constituencies and serve as an information exchange for PAEA member programs regarding clinical education outside the United States.

Applicants for this position should be familiar with domestic and international trends within PA education and have good leadership, communication, and managerial skills.

Terms

• Chair positions are for three years with the possibility for reappointment.

• Terms are renewable once, based upon the recommendation of the board of directors.

Funding

• Meetings held in conjunction with the PAEA's annual meetings are not funded.

• Meetings held outside of the PAEA's annual meeetings are funded for travel, lodging, and meals.

General Requirements

• Chairs must establish an agenda to carry out the committee's charges and schedule both face-to-face meetings and conference calls.

• Chairs must monitor the progress of the committee in meeting its charges.

• Chairs are expected to provide guidance to committee members and have the ability to work well with the board liaison assigned to the committee.
