Appointment will be as an Instructor or Assistant Professor depending on education and experience. Duties will include, but are not limited to, serving as course director for a longitudinal Cross Cultural Communications Course, small group preceptor, community-based practice recruitment, student progress evaluator, and other administrative duties within the PA Program. This position requires NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure to practice in the state of Texas, three years clinical practice experience, and a Master’s degree. (Additional clinical experience may qualify in place of the master’s degree.) Preferred but not required qualifications include: experience in didactic or clinical teaching in primary care, pediatrics or family medicine, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the willingness to learn and grow in an academic role. The University of Southern California’s Primary Care Physician Assistant Program is recruiting for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC. The USC PA Program is a well-established, fully accredited, Master’s level program. Responsibilities include student advising, admissions, curriculum development and evaluation, and teaching. Clinical practice time available in Family Medicine.
