Faculty Position

The Baylor College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program invites applications for a full-time faculty position. Appointment will be as an Instructor or Assistant Professor depending on education and experience.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, serving as course director for a longitudinal Cross Cultural Communications Course, small group preceptor, community-based practice recruitment, student progress evaluator, and other administrative duties within the PA Program.

This position requires NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure to practice in the state of Texas, three years clinical practice experience, and a Master’s degree. (Additional clinical experience may qualify in place of the master’s degree.) Preferred but not required qualifications include: experience in didactic or clinical teaching in primary care, pediatrics or family medicine, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the willingness to learn and grow in an academic role.

Faculty Position

The University of Southern California’s Primary Care Physician Assistant Program is recruiting for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC. The USC PA Program is a well-established, fully accredited, Master’s level program. Responsibilities include student advising, admissions, curriculum development and evaluation, and teaching. Clinical practice time available in Family Medicine.

Minimum qualifications: master’s degree in related field, graduation from an accredited PA Program, NCCPA certification, 2 years teaching experience, ability to work well in a team environment and strong communications skills

Faculty Positions

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, seeks two (2) full-time, non-tenure track faculty. Positions open immediately. Certified physician assistant required; Master’s degree preferred; prior teaching experience preferred.

Faculty will perform teaching, administrative, scholarly, clinical care, and community service activities. Major responsibilities will be to teach didactic and clinical courses to master’s degree students as well as mentor and advise students on their master’s projects. Additionally, one position will have clinical rotation coordinator responsibilities; the other will be responsible for department recruitment efforts and activities. Salary and academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications. Interest and expertise in multi-cultural health care issues desirable.
