October 2004 Announcements

Electronic Syllabus for Education Forum

Just like the Semi Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, APAP has an on-line electronic syllabus instead of a print copy. Materials are posted in Adobe Acrobat format and will remain on APAP’s Web site for one year. Session attendees are asked to allow plenty of time to print out the syllabus submissions for those sessions they will be attending in Nashville before they arrive at conference.

CME Credit to be Awarded for Select Forum Sessions

APAP is pleased to announce that its Education Forum has been reviewed and approved for a maximum of 11.75 hours of professional Category I (Preapproved) CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity.

  • The Development of the PA Profession in Taiwan: A Model for International Educational Cooperation

Also, beginning this year, programs will have the opportunity to place multiple orders of the newest version of ePACKRAT for students; however, only the original, first set of test scores will be used in the national comparison of your students' scores to those of other PA programs.

Innovations in Health Care

Four PA programs will be recognized and awarded $5,000 each to support further development or implementation of the practice or curriculum enhancements through the Tenth Annual Innovations in Health Care Recognition Program, sponsored jointly by the Physician Assistant Foundation, AAPA, and Pfizer Incorporated.
