Academic Coordinator Position

York College of the City University of New York invites applications for a tenure track faculty opening within the Department of Health Sciences at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. York College is a senior college of The City University of New York, located in Jamaica, Queens - a multicultural sub-center of the New York metropolitan area.

Duties:
Serves as academic coordinator of the didactic phase of the Physician Assistant Program and teach in areas of expertise. The successful candidate will: act as liaison between students and instructors and resource for both groups regarding curricular content, academic policies and procedures; plan and organize, implement and evaluate didactic phase of the program; provide service to the program and college including committee activities and student recruitment activities. Engage in scholarly research.

Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program, a master's degree, licensure or eligibility for licensure as a physician assistant in New York State, and NCCPA certification, OR an earned doctoral degree leading to appropriate medical professional licensure. A minimum of three years of clinical experience and three years of teaching experience.

Cinical Coordinator Position

The University of St. Francis is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for its Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program in the land of enchantment in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This is a 12-month, full-time faculty appointment. Responsibilities include ongoing development and supervision of clinical sites, teaching, student advising and committee work. Additional duties include ongoing management of clinical site computer databases and supervision of program staff within our clinical site office. Our program focuses on the provision of medical care to rural and remote underserved communities in New Mexico.

Requirements for Position include: Minimum of two years full-time clinical PA practice experience, Master's degree preferred, current NCCPA certification, demonstration of excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Applicants must be willing to travel to clinical locations. Preference will be given to applicants with computer proficiency in database management and those that have prior teaching experience.

Cinical Coordinator Position

Faculty Position

Faculty position available at a rank of Associate or Assistant Professor or above in either tenure track or non-tenure clinical track. Applicants must be PA graduates of a CAHEA- or CAAHEP-accredited program with current NCCPA certification, or an U.S. licensed (or board eligible) physician. Minimum of a master's degree required. Previous clinical experience, PA program faculty experience, and clinical education experience preferred.

Faculty Position

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine invites applications for a faculty position. Applicants must be prepared to teach graduate courses in the professional phase of the PA program. Faculty will be involved in academic and/or clinical programing; assisting in the development and procurement of additional clinical sites. Position would include clinical responsibilities working one day a week in the PCOM clinical network.

Other duties will include advising and evaluating the educational performance of professional students. The successful candidate will have an appropriate graduate degree and hold a current NCCPA certification. This position requires proven written and verbal skills, computer competency, and experience in using instructional technology. All faculty members will share teaching, publishing, admissions recruitment, and accreditation responsibilities.

Interested candidates must have at least 2 years of clinical experience and be willing to travel. Faculty Position

The Seton Hill University Physician Assistant Program is currently seeking to hire two (2) physician assistants for faculty positions. These positions are full-time, 12 month, tenure track positions. A start date of June 1, 2004 is preferred. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Program:
The physician assistant program is fully accredited and maintains a 100% national board examination pass rate each year. Our mission is to train physician assistants who will provide quality primary medical care with a specific emphasis on the underserved - namely women and the elderly.

Position:
Duties include, but are not limited to, overall administration of clinical education to include recruitment, assignment and evaluation of clinical rotation sites and students. All program faculty contribute to student advising, admissions, curriculum development and classroom teaching. Clinical practice time is available and encouraged.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a master's degree in health or related field, graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania and at least 3 years of clinical experience. The successful applicant will possess the potential for excellence in teaching, good communication and organizational skills and be able to function effectively in a team environment. Prior administrative and/or research experience and information technology proficiency are preferred.
