APAP Seeks Liaison to Society of Teachers of Family Medicine

APAP is seeking an individual to serve as liaison to the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), the foremost organization of family medicine residency directors and educators. STFM is dedicated to improving the health of all people through education, research, patient care, and advocacy. Its vision is to be a community of educators, researchers, and clinicians leading change that measurably improves health for all. STFM’s strategic goals include faculty development, quality improvement, and information technology. It celebrates diversity and emphasizes the role of the family physician.

Preference will be given to individuals who are familiar with family medicine residencies.

The liaison reports annually to the board on the STFM Annual Spring Conference, which is funded for the liaison’s registration costs, travel, food, and lodging.

The term for this position is for two years, from November 1, 2005, to October 31, 2007, with the possibility of reappointment, based upon the recommendation of the APAP president, in consultation with the board of directors.
