APAP Announces New
Faculty Development Program
for Faculty Members:
Education Scholar

APAP’s Faculty Development Institute (FDI) is introducing Education Scholar, a new, convenient, and affordable mechanism for PA program faculty to engage in faculty development.

The Education Scholar series offers member access to a quality series of faculty enrichment modules at a reasonable price. The availability of these modules on the Internet provides those who do not choose to travel with the capability for faculty development. Once enrolled, faculty will have an entire year to work with one or more of the following modules:

1. Developing a Personal Working Philosophy to Guide Teaching/Learning and Faculty Roles and Responsibilities
2. Facilitating Learning in a Traditional Classroom Setting
3. Improving Learning Outcomes Through the Use of Active Learning Strategies
4a. Developing and Implementing Instruction to Meet Special Program Needs — Distance Education
4b. Developing and Implementing Instruction to Meet Special Program NeedsProblem Based Learning
5. Student Assessment and Classroom Research
6. Promoting Teaching/Learning Excellence in Your Institution Education

Education Scholar is one effort on the part of your Association to fulfill an objective of prime concern to its members and the Faculty Development Institute. Faculty can take advantage of Education Scholar’s multiple venues and formats. APAP invites program and faculty feedback on experiences with Education Scholar.
