Program Director University of Findlay Director of Admissions Emory University Faculty Stony Brook University The University of Findlay invites applications for a program director to provide leadership to a dynamic and growing physician assistant program. Accredited since April 2000, this bachelors-level program is in the process of seeking approval to transition to an entry-level masters degree program. Qualified applicants will be a physician assistants or physicians with appropriate licensure and certification, a masters degree (doctoral degree preferred), relevant clinical experience, as well as experience in teaching, scholarship, and educational administration. The ideal candidate will be an individual with a passion for the physician assistant profession, a vision for professional education, experience with accreditation, and a record of scholarly and professional activity. Candidates are expected to have strong communication skills and a desire to work with students in a university setting that prides itself on providing close relationships between students and faculty. The University of Findlay is a growing and innovative institution with an enrollment of approximately 4,700 students and is located 45 miles south of Toledo, Ohio. The College of Health Professions serves nearly 700 students in professional programs including physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, nuclear medicine technology, and athletic training. Responsibilities include routine educational program administration, serving as the director of admissions, assisting part-time with clinical coordination, teaching in areas of expertise, and advising students. Qualifications include at least five years of full-time clinical experience, NCCPA certification, and a minimum of a bachelors degree. Previous teaching, admissions, and administrative experience are desirable and a masters degree is preferred. Excellent communication and computer skills are necessary and a team philosophy is essential. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with level of education and previous teaching and clinical experience.
