Positions Available on Advisory Board and Subcommittees

APAP Research Institute Advisory Committee

The APAP Research Institute (RI) is seeking applications for one vacancy to the APAP Research Institute Advisory Committee. The committee is responsible for advising the RI chair and APAP Board of Directors concerning research issues, and each member is responsible for implementing various tasks of the RI and for chairing at least one institute subcommittee. The subcommittee associated with this appointment is the Student Research Affairs Subcommittee, which is responsible for the administration of the APAP Student Writing Competition.

Additional responsibilities include attendance at RI Advisory Committee meetings at the APAP Educational Forum and one weekend strategy meeting each winter, as well as participation in e-mail communications and telephone conference calls, as needed. Applicants for this position should have served on a Research Institute subcommittee. It is desirable that applicants’ accomplishments include a record of successful authorship of published manuscripts, service as peer reviewers for journals and the APAP Student Writing Competition, and experience working with PA students who write manuscripts.

APAP Research Institute Subcommittees

The APAP Research Institute (RI) is seeking applications for several vacancies on its subcommittees. Subcommittee members are responsible for assisting the subcommittee chair. Activity of RI subcommittees typically occurs over a few months in recurring annual cycles.

No prior APAP committee service is required for these positions; however, priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate a history of authoring publications, peer review activity, experience as a reviewer for the APAP Student Writing Competition, and other scholarly activity.
