Perspective Journal Seeks Submissions PA faculty are encouraged to submit manuscripts to Perspective on Physician Assistant Education, APAPs official peer-reviewed journal. Perspective publishes original research articles germane to PA education, as well as descriptive or commentary articles. Guidelines for each category are included in the Instructions to Authors section published in each issue and available on the APAP Web site at http://www.apap.org/search/Instructions2Authors.pdf. These guidelines are subject to change and should be reviewed prior to developing a manuscript. The next issue of the journal will reflect changes in some of the categories and content requirements. Research articles must contribute new knowledge to the profession. Special articles can cover a range of topics such as didactic and clinical curriculum innovations, faculty development projects, academic trends and observations, student and program evaluation activities, and program enhancement initiatives. The journal also publishes articles in a variety of feature sections. Feature submissions should be sent to individual feature editors (listed in each issue of the journal), or to ppae@apap.org. Some features are being retired and some new ones added, so please contact the APAP national office before developing a submission for a particular feature. Journal submissions should adhere to the Uniform Requirement for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, available at http://www.icmje.org, as well as to the style of the American Medical Association Manual of Style, 9th ed. Please pay particular attention to footnote and reference format. Submissions should be sent via e-mail attachment to ppae@apap.org. Perspective has recently moved its operations from the University of Utah PA Program, where it had been published since its founding in 1998, to the APAP national office. In March, P. Eugene Jones, chair of the Department of PA Studies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, was appointed editor-in-chief. Journal staff are Steven Lane, managing editor; Eileen Evans, associate editor; and Geraldene Darden, production manager. Please call the APAP office at 703/548-5538 with any questions about the journal or how to submit.
