This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). This individual will administer the clinical phase of the program. Qualifications include clinical experience as a physician assistant, and certification by the NCCPA. Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to teamwork, excellent oral and written communication, willingness and ability to travel, and computer knowledge will be considered strong assets. A master's degree or higher in a health related or educational field of study is required. The program is fully accredited and in its third year of operation. a PA for the position of Clinical Coordinator. This position is a
full time, 12-month position - 37.5 hours/week, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
flexible schedule. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of the Physician Associates
Program at Yale School of Medicine, this position provides professional
and administrative program support in the areas of the Physician Associate
(PA) curriculum, admissions, teaching, and recruitment activities
associated with the PA Program at the Yale School of Medicine. Essential duties of the position: 1. Plan and coordinate the PA student rotations. 2. Arrange student schedules and assess student clinical performance by reviewing/monitoring evaluations submitted by clinical preceptors. 3. Counsel and advise students in regards to their clinical performance throughout their rotations through quarterly meetings and other meetings as needed. 4. Work with Assistant Dean to establish and implement new and current testing requirements and policies for second year PA students. 5. Coordinate the callback schedule and develop callback seminars to supplement rotations by identifying lecturers and negotiating their participation. 6. Maintain and develop the Program's clinical rotation website by reviewing current content and adding/deleting information when necessary. 7. Serve as member of the Program's Admission Committee by evaluating and ranking applications and selecting applicants for interview. 8. Participate on the Program's Progress Committee by reporting students' progress on clinical rotations and recommending actions/remedies where appropriate. 9. Serve as a member of the Program's Paper Committee; read and grade student theses and recommend papers for presentation. 10. Instruct in the Program's History and Physical Examination and PE Practicum courses and lead a Physical Exam seminar. 11. Participate in public relations and recruitment activities of the PA Program by speaking to high school and college groups regarding the profession. Education and experience: Master's degree and a minimum of three
years of administrative experience in the field; or the equivalent

Primary responsibilities include coordinating didactic year student schedules and activities, didactic and clinical year student advising, developing and evaluating clinical sites, serving on program and college committees, participating in admissions activities, curriculum review, and teaching in areas of expertise.
Qualified candidates must possess current NCCPA certification, a minimum of a Masters degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience. Faculty can maintain clinical expertise by practicing in a clinical setting one day per week.

Position: Full-time tenure track to begin immediately. Salary and faculty appointment are commensurate with education and experience. Responsibilities: The position requires that an individual advise students, facilitate small groups, assess student performance, teach in areas of expertise, mentor student research, interview applicants for admission, engage in scholarly activities, serve on college committees, and participate in periodic program self-assessment activities. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and administrative experience in higher education, especially in allied health education. In order to carry out the responsibility of coordinating master's paper projects, this individual must possess knowledge of statistical methods, research design, and demonstrable research experience. Southern California is recruiting for a full time faculty position.
This individual will have primary responsibility for coordinating
the didactic curriculum in medicine. The successful applicant will
join our core faculty in full program participation. All faculty contribute
to student advising, admissions, curriculum development and evaluation,
and teaching. Clinical practice time is available in the Department
of Family Medicine.
