The masters degree program admits 56 students annually into its 30-month curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction of the Masters PA Program on the Lexington campus and the extension campus in Morehead, Kentucky, and will work closely with the director of graduate studies in areas of student advising, student recruitment and evaluation of student performance. The program director will be expected to accomplish scholarship activities appropriate to academic faculty rank, which include research, publication, grant activities and/or creative, collaborative projects. The opportunity for clinical practice is available and encouraged. Previous teaching, administrative, and clinical experience is preferred. The successful applicant must be a NCCPA-certified physician assistant and have a doctoral degree in a related field (e.g. Ph.D., Pharm D., D.P.H., M.D., Ed.D.). Our program focuses on the provision of medical care to rural and remote underserved communities in New Mexico. This accredited masters level program is established in the College of Health Sciences. The faculty member will be responsible for advising and teaching in the didactic curriculum.
