APAP Staffer Assumes
New Position with AAPA

LaTasha Taylor, who joined APAP in September 2001, has recently taken a position with AAPA as manager with Constituent Organization Management Solutions (COMS). Ms. Taylor began her work with APAP as coordinator in its meetings division and was subsequently promoted to administrator. In these positions, she provided administrative support and coordination for APAP activities, including all functions related to the semiannual and annual meetings, the GRADRAT and PACKRAT item writing committees, and logistics for the Faculty Development Institute. Our members probably recall having contacted Ms. Taylor for her assistance with registration for the educational sessions.

Ms. Taylor’s new position, which involves managing constituent chapter and specialty groups within the PA profession, will provide experience that will be helpful in the bachelor’s degree program in business management in which she is enrolled at the University of Maryland. APAP staff appreciated Ms. Taylor’s take charge manner in overseeing all the multitudinous details involved in APAP’s meetings and, along with the members of the board, wish LaTasha all the best in her new position.
