APAP Finance Committee

Call for Member

APAP is seeking a member to serve on its Finance Committee.

The Finance Committee is responsible for monitoring APAP’s finances, preparing an annual budget, and making related recommendations to the APAP Board of Directors to ensure the growth and stability of the Association’s revenue base.

Members of the committee

  1. Work with the APAP Transition Task Force to identify, assess, and monitor financial goals related to independent management;
  2. Review the timeline for dues increases and make recommendations for the future;
  3. Assist in developing the business plan for CASPA;
  4. Develop strategies for adding to APAP’s reserves to ensure that financial goals are met;
  5. Create a template for enhanced graphic presentation of financial information to the board and membership;
  6. Prepare and monitor annual budget.

Qualifications: Candidates must be core faculty in an APAP member program and possess a facility with and knowledge of budget development. Additionally, candidates must be detail-oriented and organized, as well as knowledgeable about the activities of the Association.

Responsibilities: Committee members are expected to attend all meetings of the Finance Committee. The committee meets at the APAP Semiannual Meeting in May/June, the Education Forum in October/November, and holds a meeting in early spring. Members also participate in conference calls as needed. All expenses for attending meetings are covered by APAP.

Terms of office: The committee member will assume a term that expires in October 2005, with the possibility of reappointment for a term of two years’ duration. No more than two consecutive terms may be served.
