The Division of Physician Assistant Studies in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with vision, leadership skills, and the ability to work with a diverse faculty and staff to fill a tenure-track program director/faculty position as an Associate/Full Professor. The Master's degree program admits 56 students annually into its 30-month curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction of the Master's PA Program on the Lexington campus and the extension campus in Morehead, Kentucky and will work closely with the Director of Graduate Studies in areas of student advising, student recruitment and evaluation of student performance. Duties: The primary appointment is in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing PA student research proposals and other graduate student thesis research. The position requires the candidate to be active in ongoing PA program development, evaluation, student advisement; and college, school and professional service. The primary instructional responsibilities will be teaching physiology content to physician assistant students and a graduate research course. It is expected that the applicant will develop lines of scholarly inquiry in aging and chronic disease disability, and contribute to instructional and service missions.
