Chair Position

East Carolina University is accepting applications for the position of Chair, Department of Physician Assistant Studies, School of Allied Health Sciences. The Chair has general responsibility for the organization and administration of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and the PA Program. The Chair may also serve as the program director.

The responsibilities of the position include structuring and maintaining the Physician Assistant Program in accordance with established educational standards and practice. The Chair shall insure that the faculty/staff are appropriately trained for the positions they fill. He/she will act as liaison, or will be authorized to appoint liaisons to the various departments and schools within the University, the PA profession and the community. He/she will be expected to maintain regional, national, and international visibility for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies.

Requirements: Masters Degree required, Doctoral Degree preferred. The successful candidate must either be a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or, if a physician must be eligible for licensure in North Carolina and be board certified, primary care preferred.

Description: The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at East Carolina University is a well-established department in the School of Allied Health Sciences. Program Director Position

The Graduate Program in Physician Assistant Studies at Methodist College is accepting applications for the position of Director of the PA Program/Medical Science Division. The position carries the rank of associate professor but is not a tenure track position.

Methodist College is a private liberal arts Christian institution located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The PA Program will begin its eighth year of operation this fall. There are currently 29 students enrolled in the program.

Clinical Coordinator Position

Grand Valley State University has an immediate opening for an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator for the Masters in Physician Assistant Studies Program. This is a full-time (12-month) tenure-track position. Responsibilities include instruction in clinical courses within the Program, instruction in case and problem-based learning, visitation and evaluation of students as they are enrolled at clinical sites, supervision of clinical rotations, student advising, development of new clinical sites throughout Michigan, and the development of two potential international opportunities for clinical training.

The qualified individual for this position will have graduated from an ARC-PA or CAAHEP accredited Physician Assistant Studies Program, possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field, be current in NCCPA certification, and possess (or be eligible for) a current license to practice in Michigan as a physician assistant. Clinical experience is required and continuing clinical practice for a minimum of one day per week is expected. Desirable traits include computer competency, organization, strong interpersonal and team skills, and excellent communication ability.

Clinical Coordinator Position

Hofstra University's Physician Assistant Studies Program invites applications for the position of Clinical Coordinator. Must be prepared to develop clinical learning sites. Responsibilities include overall administration of clinical education including recruitment, assignments, and evaluation of clinical preceptorships; as well as classroom teaching, student advising, service to the university, and clinical practice release time.

Qualifications: NCCPA certification, minimum of three years of teaching experience (clinical or classroom), three years of clinical experience, information technology competency. Bachelor's degree required, Master degree preferred.

The Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Physician Assistant Program, is seeking applicants for an Instructor and Diversity Coordinator.

Description: The Wake Forest University School of Medicine, formerly known as Bowman Gray School of Medicine, has a history of educational innovation and a tradition of distinguished alumni. Faculty Position

Faculty position for collaborative M.S. degree program in conjunction with Towson University and the Community College of Baltimore County. This is a non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction, student advising, and related program duties and scholarship.

Requirements include minimum of a master's degree and one year of clinical experience. NCCPA certification and licensure or eligibility for licensure in Maryland required, or a physician with experience in PA education. One year of teaching experience desired, with additional experience preferred.
