Call for APAP Alternate Delegate to AAPA House of Delegates

APAP is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving as APAP’s alternate delegate to AAPA’s House of Delegates (HOD). The term is for two years. The HOD will meet for four days during AAPA’s 33rd Annual PA Conference in Orlando, Florida. From Saturday, May 28, through Monday, May 30, delegates elected by AAPA’s chartered constituent chapters, recognized specialty PA organizations, the Student Academy, the Association of PA Programs, and the Caucus Congress will make decisions about the future directions of the Academy. Petar A. Breitinger, PA-C, M.P.A.S., is APAP’s chief delegate. APAP will cover each delegate’s HOD registration fee, and each delegate will be compensated at the rate of $500 for attending the full session. Delegates may declare up to 20 hours of Professional Category II (elective) activity CME credit in any two-year logging cycle as credit toward recertification for work in the House of Delegates.

APAP delegates will participate fully in the House session and will represent the Association on all issues considered. They will monitor any actions or policies considered by the House that relate to PA education and report to the APAP Board of Directors and membership. As the profession continues to grow, APAP’s input into policy decisions becomes increasingly important.

To be considered for this leadership position, please respond electronically with a letter of interest and current CV by April 7, 2005, to Eileen Evans, eileen@aapa.org.
