PAEA Semiannual Meeting Moscone Convention
Center The PAEA Semiannual Meeting will be held May 26-28, in conjunction with AAPAs 34th Annual Conference at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. The meeting will provide a forum for discussion of current issues in PA education, faculty development, and networking opportunities for faculty. PAEA sessions are an excellent resource for faculty, preceptors, and those considering these roles, as well as anyone interested in educational issues affecting the profession. All PAEA sessions (with the exception of meal functions) are open to registrants of AAPAs Annual Conference at no additional cost. The PAEA Basic Clinical Coordinators Workshop is scheduled for Thursday, May 25, from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. (includes cocktails and dinner), and Friday, May 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional advance registration and fees are required for this workshop, and further information will be forthcoming. Registration is being handled by the AAPA, and Advance Registration booklets were mailed in December 2005. Advance registration may be submitted through April 21, 2006. On-line Semiannual Meeting Registration
AAPA has contracted with several of the finest hotels in San Francisco. The San Francisco Marriott will serve as the AAPA Annual Conference headquarters hotel; housing facilities include five additional hotels. All reservation requests must originate through Navigant, AAPAs travel agency. If you contact the hotels directly, they will advise you that they are sold out, as rooms are blocked for the AAPA annual conference. Information on the hotels and the Hotel Reservation Request Form are available in the AAPA Advance Registration booklet or on-line at https://events.navigant.com/aapa/2006_paconference/. This link also provides information regarding shuttle service and changes or cancellations to reservations. Although hotel reservations may not be made by phone, Navigant representatives can help with questions. Navigants phone number is 888/669-2272. The deadline for housing requests is April 17, 2006.
