Invitation to the Clinical Coordinators Workshop

APAP, through the Faculty Development Institute (FDI), is pleased to offer the Clinical Coordinators Workshop, May 26–27, 2005, as an add-on workshop before the official opening of the APAP Semiannual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

Modeled after previous workshops presented by the MEDEX Northwest PA Program, clinical coordinators who register for this workshop will have the opportunity to

  • Meet other clinical coordinators
  • Explore the clinical coordinator’s role
  • Expand their networking, communication, and administrative skills
  • Understand and discuss timely issues, such as federal and state rules/regulations, documentation concerns, and technology in the clinical year
  • Wrestle with thorny problems, for example, competing for/sharing, clinical sites, dealing with difficult students, and avoiding burnout
  • Learn how other programs have dealt with learning objectives, testing, and other types of evaluations; the expanded use of PDAs; international experiences; developing and nurturing sites; and job development

Early registration is encouraged — limited seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 30 participants. The cost of this workshop is $375 (to be submitted ONLY upon notification of acceptance). Registration fee includes two breakfasts and two snacks. To take part in this workshop, applicants must

  • Complete the registration form accessible from the link above and return the completed form by the April 18, 2005, deadline.
  • Make a commitment to attend the entire two-day workshop.
