The candidate must either be a NCCPA certified Physician Assistant and either have or be eligible for a state California Physician Assistant license or a board certified physician, primary care preferred. A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in clinical practice, administration, and teaching is required. position: Clinical Coordinator/Assistant Professor. Specific responsibilities will include: participating in curriculum
and program development; development of the philosophy, goals, and
competency-based instructional objectives; development of agreements/contracts
with clinical affiliates and preceptors; evaluating the performance
of students and instructors during on-site visits; performing analyses
of the clinical database; providing counsel to students; participating
in teaching and maintaining a program of scholarly activities; implementing
grants and contracts; recruiting faculty and staff; and other duties
as requested. The successful applicant will possess the potential for excellence in teaching, good communication and organizational skills and be able to function effectively in a team environment. Prior administrative and/or research experience and information technology proficiency are preferred.
