The position is a 12-month tenure track faculty position for an entry-level Master's Degree program. The Director will have responsibility over daily operation of the Program, as well as faculty recruitment, development/evaluation and is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of the medical director, four full-time faculty members, multiple adjunct faculty and two staff members. The Director's functions include program accreditation, student admissions, advisement, advocacy and evaluation, oversight of clinical experiences, program development, review and evaluation. The SMSU PA Program is an accredited 24-month master's program that enrolls its fourth class in January 2003. Responsibilities include overall administration of clinical education including recruitment, assignment, and evaluation of clinical preceptorships; as well as classroom teaching, student advising, service to the university, and clinical practice release time. Required qualifications include NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure in Missouri, a graduate degree in a related discipline and at least two years of recent clinical experience or will consider a licensed PharmD with clinical and educational experience.
