January 2006 Announcement Updates to the PA Faculty Directory Program directors should have received an electronic listing of their faculty and staff, as published in the APAP Faculty Directory, as well as instructions for updating it. Each of PAEAs member programs will be mailed a new directory in the upcoming months and listings will be included in the online APAP Faculty Directory, accessible from the For Members link on the PAEA home page. Mark Your Calendars for the AAPA International Delegation Symposium The AAPA will host an International Delegation Symposium, in conjunction with its 34th Annual Conference in San Francisco, California. Come and learn first hand of the experiences of our international colleagues. Please access additional details at this link. Physician Assistant Foundation Annual Scholarship Program Since 1989, the Foundations scholarship program has awarded over $1 million to PA students across the country. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and future goals as a PA. For the 2004-2005 program year, 37 PA students received scholarships. The postmark deadline for 2005-2006 program is February 1, 2006. The application is on-line at www.aapa.org/paf/app-scholarship.html. Please share this link with your students. The application can be accessed and completed on-line, printed, and mailed to the address provided on the application. The PA Program Verification Letter and other requested materials must also be included. All applicants must be enrolled in the professional phase of their PA programs and be student members of the AAPA. Previous PA Foundation scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply again. Each application is reviewed by the Foundations Scholarship Committee. Awards are made in May of each year.
