Perspective Journal Seeks Editor for Medical Director Feature

The Association’s official journal, Perspective on Physician Assistant Education, is seeking a medical director to serve as editor of the feature Medical Director Dialogue. This new feature was edited by Patricia Cook, MD, medical director of the UT Southwestern PA Program, who is retiring at the end of this month.

The main responsibility of the editor is to solicit articles from medical directors and help guide authors. The editor may also choose to write articles. As the feature’s name indicates, its purpose is to provide perspectives and information on the medical director role in physician assistant education. The time commitment is not onerous. The feature appears in every second issue of the journal, in issues 2 and 4 each year. The next deadline is April 30.

Interested candidates should e-mail a letter describing their interest in the position and qualifications to Steven Lane at slane@apap.org.
