PAEA Name Change Is Official

The association formerly known as APAP is now officially the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA). The Association’s attorney has successfully filed the articles of amendment with the government of the District of Columbia, where the Association is incorporated. This completes the process that began with the membership’s vote to change the Association’s name and to adopt a new logo and tagline during our recent Education Forum in Puerto Rico.

Over the next few weeks, the Association will be redesigning its Web site and publications to incorporate the new name and logo and a new graphic identity. This process is expected to be completed by the time the Association moves to its new offices in the spring. As we approach the move date, final changes will be made, and address and other contact information will be added to letterhead and other publications. During this transition period, APAP Update will continue to be published in its current form. A revamped newsletter will be launched in the spring, after membership input has been sought via a comprehensive communications survey later this month. Please watch your inbox for this survey and take a few minutes to provide your comments. The Transition Task Force is working diligently on this and many other final tasks that need to be completed before the move this spring.
